About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Atlas Hotel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Complete Routine Maintenance Tasks: Prevent breakdowns and ensure the hotel's systems are running efficiently.
  • Conduct Inspections and Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the hotel's HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to prevent issues.
  • Respond to Maintenance Requests: Promptly respond to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests to minimize disruptions to hotel operations and maintain guest comfort.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to coordinate maintenance actions and ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Perform Waterpark Maintenance: Complete scheduled waterpark pool tests and filter maintenance, and perform overnight maintenance for 1-2 days per month.
  • Perform Minor Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs as required, and replace fixtures such as sink taps or thermostats.
  • Perform Groundskeeping: Perform general groundskeeping, such as shovelling snow, to maintain the hotel's exterior.
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety Protocols: Perform maintenance work in compliance with established safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-2 years of previous building or apartment maintenance experience is essential.
  • Technical Training: Technical training or vocational courses in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, or general maintenance are preferred.
  • Qualifications: Strong attention to detail, a proven work ethic, and a friendly, approachable demeanor when addressing problems or issues.
  • Availability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
