At Otter Co-op, we're seeking a highly skilled Cook to join our team at the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, BC.

About Us

Otter Co-op is a dynamic and growing organization serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior since 1922.

We operate multiple food and pharmacy stores, Angry Otter liquor stores, feed mills, bulk petroleum facilities, restaurants, and convenience stores. Our mission is to provide excellent products and services to support our member-owners.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to work as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to meet high standards of quality and presentation. They will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Maintain accurate food inventories and store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure a clean work environment and follow sanitation procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in a full-service restaurant or similar kitchen environment
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
