About Us: PGG Wrightson is a leading provider of products and services to the agricultural and horticultural sectors in New Zealand. We are passionate about working with local Iwi to support sustainable development of agricultural land.
The Role: We are seeking an experienced professional to partner with Maori trusts and deliver results for current and future generations. The successful candidate will provide technical input into individual annual farming plans, support business targets, and provide specialist advice on land development and services.
Main Accountabilities:
- Provide input into individual annual farming plans for each Maori Trust
- Support the achievement of Trust business targets by providing advice and guidance to farm management teams
- Giving technical advice on land development and the services and products that PGG Wrightson can provide to support the development of general farm systems
- Identifying development needs on farm and assisting in building capability
- Utilising a range of business support tools to add technical value (including Farm IQ)
Key Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of Maori culture, introductory Maori language skills, and personal values aligned to Maori culture. A working knowledge of technical farming systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a rural sales role or horticultural practices.
