Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist - Pharmacy to join our team at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Sinai Health. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Medical Support Specialist - Pharmacy will play a critical role in supporting our Pharmacy department with technical and clerical functions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Unit-dose or traditional dispensing
  • Medication order entry
  • Medication cart refill
  • Ward stock replenishment
  • Inventory management
  • Sterile products preparation, manufacturing, and pre-packaging

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of computer applications such as Meditech and excellent communication skills. A minimum of 1 year related hospital experience is required, with 3 years' experience preferred.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) accredited college
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacy (OCP)
  • Sound working knowledge of computer applications such as Meditech
