About the Role:

The BC Utilities Commission is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide technical support to our staff and commissioners, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support to staff and commissioners, addressing issues related to hardware, software, networking, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including problem-solving and technical research.
  • Assist in the management of technological change across the organization, ensuring a seamless transition to new systems and processes.
  • Source and procure hardware and software solutions, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement technical solutions, improving the overall IT experience for staff and commissioners.

Requirements:

  • Hold an IT-related degree or certification, or have relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and commissioners at all levels.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Azure Hybrid Infrastructure, Microsoft Application Support, Adobe Acrobat, and Creative Cloud is considered an asset.
