We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Assistant to join our team at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and assessing applications and documentation for admission and articulated transfer credit, advising students regarding resources, and providing information on KPU admissions, transfer credit, and registration policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and assess applications and documentation for admission and articulated transfer credit.
- Advise students regarding resources, including academic programs, services, and policies.
- Provide information on KPU admissions, transfer credit, and registration policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative functions, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless student experience.
- High school graduation plus successful completion of two years of post-secondary studies.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience working in Admissions and/or Recruitment position within the Office of the Registrar.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Student Banner at an intermediate level, or a similar student information system.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate initiative.
- Demonstrated knowledge of KPU programs and policies.
- Demonstrated experience processing and assessing secondary and post-secondary transcripts.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- 40 WPM keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy.
