Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Supermarket Clerk to join our team. As a Supermarket Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service by answering customer inquiries, resolving issues, and making recommendations on products.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and keeping the stockroom tidy.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register.
- Restock shelves and display areas with merchandise, ensuring that products are facing forward and at eye level.
- Count, weigh, and sort inventory to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate a forklift or pallet jack to move merchandise around the store.
- Participate in inventory management by counting and reconciling inventory, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
