Supermarket Sales Associate

98 Street Your Independent Grocer is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Supermarket Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate inventory management.
Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with purchases, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Accurately manage inventory by counting, weighing, and sorting items, and maintaining accurate records.
- Operate a cash register and process transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
