Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Director to join our team at Metro. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Director in achieving sales goals while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Director in setting sales targets and providing support to department managers to achieve these goals.
- Conduct regular store inspections to ensure high standards of freshness, quality, and presentation, and provide feedback to department managers.
- Support the Store Director in customer service, responding to complaints, and resolving issues.
- Assist with human resources management, including recruitment, training, and administration of collective agreements.
- Perform sporadic checks on merchandise receipt, invoices, and quality control.
- Act as a substitute for the Store Director in their absence.
Requirements:
- Secondary V diploma
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry
- Ability to plan, direct, and organize in a unionized environment
- Effective communication skills
- Bilingualism (an asset)
