Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Painter to join our team at M&L Painting Ltd. As a painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces to a high standard.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes in surfaces
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging as necessary
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

  • Facilitating access to community resources and language training
  • Recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disasters
  • Supporting foreign credential recognition and providing mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees
  • Providing diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment
Support for Indigenous People

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous people. This includes:

  • Offering mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations
  • Providing cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees
  • Facilitating access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
