We are a reputable painting and decorating company seeking a skilled painter to join our team. As a Creative Artisan - Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the trade and possess excellent physical abilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a painter with VDS Painting and Decorating Inc, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted
  • Repairing cracks and holes in walls and ceilings
  • Mixing paint to the desired color and texture
  • Measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper and other fabrics to walls
  • Erecting scaffolding and swing stages, and attaching rigging as needed
  • Applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Estimating costs and materials required for each job
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in painting and decorating
  • Excellent physical abilities, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • The ability to distinguish between colors
  • A strong work ethic and reliability
  • Team player skills

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Experience

VDS Painting and Decorating Inc offers a permanent opportunity with a minimum of 35 hours worked per week. The selected candidate will work on the road, traveling to different locations to complete projects.
