Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality concrete to our customers in a timely and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver concrete to customers in a customer-focused manner, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Work closely with customers on site to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Visually inspect concrete mix for correct slump and constituents, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure the safest and most efficient delivery of concrete.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Class 1 or 3 license with air endorsement.
  • At least 3 years of experience safely driving heavy trucks.
  • Good driving record (driver's abstract required).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers.
  • Solid knowledge of local and provincial transportation regulations and trucking routes.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or skill for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections.
  • Ability to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods, and walk on varied terrain.
  • Availability to work six days a week (Monday - Saturday) and occasionally on Sunday.
  • Ability to work overtime as business and weather conditions warrant.
