The City of Kelowna is seeking a Quality Assurance Expert to join its team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of police investigations by providing quality assurance audits and identifying accurate classifications of file scoring.

About the Role

">

This position provides guidance, feedback, and corrective direction as required to ensure the file integrity of police investigations. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing operational police investigative files, searching for statistical data required to accurately classify and capture information required to satisfy Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS) reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Reviewing and auditing operational files to ensure compliance with legal obligations and policy requirements;">
  • Operational Statistical Reporting (OSR) and Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR): Subject matter experts in OSR and UCR, reviewing operational police investigative files, searching for statistical data required to accurately classify and capture information required to satisfy CCJS reporting requirements;">
  • Training and Development: Coaching RCMP cadets with respect to quality assurance issues, assisting in identifying training requirements, preparing and developing lesson plans, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations for identified needs;">

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with clients and stakeholders. They must also have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations relating to training and information sessions.

What We Offer

">

The City of Kelowna offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $84,000 per year. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package.
