About the Role

The Abbotsford School District is seeking a French Immersion Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis. As a French Immersion Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction to students in a French Immersion setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction to students in a French Immersion setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues as needed
Requirements
  • Teacher training with major practicum in French Immersion
  • Major/minor in French
  • Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French
  • Good spoken and written communication in English
  • Eligible for BC Teacher Certification
What We Offer
  • A competitive daily rate of $306.73 to $456.31
  • Placement on the July 1, 2023 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications
  • $11.00 per day in lieu of benefits
