Medical Office Assistant

WELL Health Technologies Corp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at our Manitoba Clinic. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to physicians and healthcare team members, including scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and handling billing.
- Assist with laboratory duties, including collecting and preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic laboratory tests.
- Coordinate patient care, including checking in patients, preparing exam rooms, and providing post-appointment service.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and security by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Perform other related clinical and administrative tasks as required by clinic management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Experience as a Medical Office Assistant or completion of a Medical Office Assistant program is an asset.
- Experience with EMR systems, such as OSCAR, and good understanding of MSP billing are also assets.
