About the RoleYou'll work closely with our leadership teams and employees to enhance our safety culture, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all. As a trusted resource and subject matter expert, you'll guide our safety programs and initiatives, working closely with our Joint Health and Safety Committees and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of our business unit structure, organizational values, and corporate safety programs.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including Operations and Shared Services, to advance our safety culture.
- Guide our safety programs and initiatives, engaging with Operations teams and conducting field visits to understand their needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise, reviewing and updating our safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Support other working groups related to health and safety programs, developing and launching initiatives based on your experiences and knowledge.
- A bachelor's degree in environmental and occupational health and safety, or a related discipline, plus four to seven years of recent experience in the field.
- Formal qualifications in safety investigations and root cause analysis, and a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, or the ability to obtain one.
- An empathetic and fair mindset when working with clients and stakeholders.

- A proven ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects at any given time.
