  • Provide clerical, receptionist, and related duties as directed by the Clinical Manager, RN, RPN, and/or LPN.
  • Act as a member of the healthcare team, demonstrating a commitment to the values, vision, goals, and objectives of the Region/facility/unit.
  • Perform tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, providing excellent customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest medical terminology and hospital-based information systems.

Requirements:

  • High school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Unit Clerk training program required.
  • Medical terminology (75% pass mark) required.
  • Typing/keyboarding skills minimum 40 wpm required.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, respond to a variety of simultaneous demands, and operate information technology equipment as required.
