Job Summary

Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Clinical Support Coordinator performs a variety of clerical tasks, supportive functions for patient and staff, and the Department.

The incumbent ensures the care and comfort of patients as well as routine cleanliness of the clinical environment.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) and training are provided.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Provide supportive functions for patients and staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and providing general administrative assistance.
  • Ensure the care and comfort of patients, including providing emotional support and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, including cleaning equipment and supplies, and reporting any hazards or concerns.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Unit Clerk course.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing carts with patient charts.
  • Satisfactory employment record.
  • Ability to legally work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic and/or in-patient care setting.
