Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Landscape Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our landscape maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and integrity of our outdoor spaces.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in horticulture and landscaping, with experience in operating various equipment such as front-end loaders, rototillers, and small engine equipment. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

This is a permanent position working 30-35 hours per week, with opportunities for advancement within the company. If you are a hardworking individual with a passion for landscaping, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including tieing and securing plants
  • Weed, prune and trim trees and plants
  • Cut grass using lawn mowers
  • Rake and collect refuse
  • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor areas
  • Lay sod or seed new lawns
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees in designated areas
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Operate and maintain various landscape maintenance equipment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license check
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads and physically demanding activities. They must be able to distinguish between colours and possess manual dexterity.
