The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dairy farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
- Handle and care for animals
- Monitor the calving process and treat any health issues that may arise
- Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Milk cows and perform general farm duties
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
- Experience with tractor operation and maintenance
- Specialization in dairy cattle
- 40 hours per week
- Permanent work term
- English language required
