Job Title: ON-CALL CUSTODIAN with 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate or Higher

The Vancouver School Board is seeking a reliable and skilled ON-CALL CUSTODIAN with a 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate or higher to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work as an ON-CALL CUSTODIAN with a 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate or higher. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our schools, as well as performing various custodial tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in our schools
  • Perform various custodial tasks, including cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and other stakeholders
  • Meet deadlines and work efficiently to complete tasks
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Valid 4th or 5th class Power Engineering Certificate or a recognized Power Engineering Program Certificate with Inter-Provincial Certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work varying shifts and schedules
