Job Summary

The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City, as well as ensuring that communities, residents and visitors have access to the recreation and cultural places, programs, events and services that allow them to experience all the benefits the City has to offer.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing program content and for the instruction, coaching or coordination of advanced sport programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement program content for advanced sport programs
  • Provide instruction, coaching or coordination for advanced sport programs
  • Work collaboratively with the Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services team to deliver high-quality programs and services

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Recreation or a related field is desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated teaching experience or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Appropriate certification in the relevant recreation/sports program
