About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned Salesforce professional to join Scotiabank's team. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Salesforce solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy Salesforce applications, including custom objects, pages, and components, to support business processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product owners, and developers, to understand requirements and design solutions.
  • Design and implement integration patterns and middleware solutions to connect Salesforce with other cloud-based applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to business teams on the proper use of Salesforce, focusing on configuration rather than customization.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and create detailed error reports using internal defect tracking tools.
  • Work with product owners, developers, and test engineers to support QA processes and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and best practices, and advise on the best approaches for implementing Salesforce solutions.
  • Develop and maintain thorough test plans and write test cases to cover all areas, identifying missing test scenarios and refining existing automation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform and overall 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud is desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and hands-on experience with tools like Data Loader and Talend.
  • Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines, including Jenkins and Bitbucket/Git.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX is desired but not required.
  • Good understanding of packaged-based deployments, Metadata API, and Ant.
  • A minimum of 1+ year experience with Salesforce Lightning Components and Aura Framework.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
  • At least 3 or more certifications on Salesforce from the following: Salesforce Developer 1, Salesforce Developer 2, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Administrator, and Sales Cloud consultant.

Working Location

This role is available in a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work from home or in our office, depending on your preference.
