About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Salesforce professional to join Scotiabank's team. As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring the stability and scalability of our application ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and estimate effort for new scope and requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Design and develop Salesforce solutions on multiple complex initiatives, leveraging your expertise in Apex, Visual Force Pages, and Salesforce Lightning Components.
  • Stay up-to-date with modern technologies and best practices, recommending the introduction of new technologies and processes to improve our Salesforce platform.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and manage admin functions for Salesforce, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality support.
  • Support the business team in the proper use of Salesforce, focusing on configuration rather than customization, and investigating failures to implement fixes and improve overall system stability.
  • Collaborate with product owners and test engineers to support QA processes, review test plans, and help improve test automation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform and overall 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Must be well-versed with Apex, Visual Force Pages, Salesforce Lightning Components, and Integration Patterns.
  • Must be familiar with integrating Salesforce with other cloud-based application systems using REST, SOAP API, Talend, Informatica, and Mulesoft.
  • Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines, including Jenkins and Bitbucket/Git.
  • Good understanding of packaged-based deployments, Metadata API, and Ant.
  • A minimum of 1+ year experience with Salesforce Lightning Components and Aura Framework.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 or more certifications on Salesforce from the following before joining (certifications will be checked and validated).
  • Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Salesforce DX.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
