Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ship orders and pick orders and stock in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, including weighing materials and goods, making labels, and attaching them to goods.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Warehouse Operations: Wrap goods, pack and unpack goods, sort, crate, and stack goods, install, lash, and secure goods, and store cargo and materials.
  • Transportation and Distribution: Transport and distribute materials and goods in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Warehouse environment.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, work under pressure, tight deadlines, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficiency, reliability, and organized.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Work Environment: 35 hours per week, permanent position.
