We are seeking a skilled Pastry Artisan to join our culinary team at Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing in beautiful Blue River, BC.

Job Description:

As a Pastry Artisan, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts for our guests. This includes assisting the Pastry Chef with dessert buffet items and plated desserts, continually researching and developing new recipes, and maintaining consistent standards of food quality.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized culinary program
  • Previous experience in both luxury hotel and restaurant environments
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently unsupervised with sound decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Advanced knowledge of traditional and modern pastry techniques
  • Strong knowledge of chocolate work, restaurant dessert design, and food safety certification
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar position
  • Able to frequently bend, kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
