Job Title:

SOX Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

QNX Software Systems is seeking a highly skilled SOX Compliance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the business process and identify areas of risk.
  • Perform tests to conclude on control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Manage deficiencies from identification through to remediation.
  • Develop plans to use resources effectively to ensure SOX deadlines are met.
  • Review the work of team members to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in project teams to ensure new business processes are SOX compliant.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with control owners and external audit.
  • Facilitate internal training on SOX compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry experience.
  • BS/BA or MS/MA in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, Auditing Standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deliver results.
