International Office Specialist

Job Summary:
The International Office Specialist position is a key role within our Import office, working closely with the International Management Team. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for motivating employees and meeting deadlines by directing them to effectively meet department goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flexibility with start and finish times is essential
- Strong sense of urgency and effective time management skills
- Deep understanding of international methods and procedures
- Training existing employees and new hires on various aspects of the job
- Documenting training provided and observed in employee training packets
- Re-certifying existing employees on methods, SWM, and other relevant areas
- Participating in goal setting for administrative employee performance appraisal reviews
- Providing employees with constructive feedback on work standards and performance
- Collaborating with customer counter employees on coaching and assisting with escalated customer concerns
- Maintaining employee records, including profiles and attendance
- Planning and coordinating employee work schedules and vacation
- Assisting with projects and tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager
- Verifying and authorizing employee time cards
- Supply ordering and invoice processing
Requirements:
- Fully bilingual
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good knowledge of UPS internal systems (ETT, OPSYS, ISPSYS, etc.)
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to make quick decisions
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer) skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong international knowledge with regards to processes
- Post-secondary degree
