Food Service Team Lead

Buon Giorno Italian Bakery is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our kitchen and service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery and restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are met.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Hire and manage food service staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime
