Job Description

Island Pastry Haus is seeking a skilled Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and baking of pastries, cakes, and other sweet goods.
  • Supervise a team of bakers and pastry chefs to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives and goals.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery.
  • Proven track record of leading a team and achieving production goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.
