Job Summary:
The Millwright Supervisor is a key member of the West Edmonton Mall team, responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and attractions in the park. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of park equipment.
- Supervise and train a team of millwrights to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Conduct daily and routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the park's equipment and attractions are always running at optimal levels.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Millwright Trade Certification.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a related millwright-based position, with a strong practical mechanical background.
- Previous supervisory experience and training is required for this role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety measures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Ability to work at heights, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including noise and humidity.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for project-specific work.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
