Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lion's Gate Building Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our properties.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Supervise other workers
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at various locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of settings, including apartment/condominium complexes, urban areas, office buildings, and retail service establishments.
