Job Title: Building Caretaker

Lion's Gate Building Maintenance Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Caretaker to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse. Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. Contact tradespersons for major repairs and contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Supervision and Communication: Supervise other workers and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in cleaning and maintenance.
  • Physical Demands: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability.
Work Environment:

Our properties are located in urban areas, and you will be working in various locations, including apartment/condominium complexes, office buildings, and retail service establishments.
