Job Title: Building Caretaker

Lion's Gate Building Maintenance Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Caretaker to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Building Caretaker to perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners and other equipment to remove debris and maintain a clean environment
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks
  • Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including apartment/condominium complexes, office buildings, and retail service establishments. The work environment will be fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to work in all weather conditions.
