Job SummaryThe Sr. Director, Specialty Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical practices of our specialty pharmacy. You will lead a national team to achieve operational excellence, growth, and development, while ensuring superior customer experiences and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee national pharmacy operations and provide direction on pharmacy strategies, initiatives, and projects.
- Responsible for pharmacy operations, including implementing departmental initiatives, financial objectives, and tracking KPIs.
- Lead the national pharmacy team in creating and implementing department processes and procedures.
- Ensure standardization of processes and smooth rollout of national pharmacy initiatives and programs.
- Promote collaboration with each Specialty Pharmacy across Canada and other business units to grow the division.
- Lead and support the development and achievement of strategic objectives and collaborative initiatives across business units.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management systems, privacy SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a liaison facilitating effective collaboration and communication with key stakeholders.
- Specialty Pharmacy P&L accountability for dispensing revenue, margin, and profitability.
- Analyze and interpret financial and operational metrics to enhance the pharmacy business.
- Ensure accurate monthly pharmacy inventory and reconciliation.
- Responsible for Specialty Pharmacy AR and collaborate with Finance on collections.
- Drive excellence in Net Promoter Score results from patients, caregivers, and stakeholders.
- Prioritize patient-centricity and superior customer experiences in all aspects of the pharmacy business.
- Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
- A valid license in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Previous experience in Specialty Pharmacy or related field.
- 7-10 years of people and progressive pharmacy management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Kroll and its capabilities.
- Able to travel as business needs arise.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead, inspire, mentor, develop, and guide a team.
- Expertise in major therapeutic areas required by Specialty Pharmacy Services.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- A professional, confident, and strategic relationship builder.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Possess finesse to manage relationships internally and externally.
- Positive, "can-do" attitude and customer-focused approach.
