About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Journeyperson to join our Maintenance Department at Mercer Peace River. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mill equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, mechanical, and pressure equipment
- Conduct hazard assessments to ensure work is executed in a safe manner
- Develop, improve, and adhere to safe work practices and procedures
- Enter work requests for initiation of work to be conducted; close work orders with descriptive detail of actual work performed
- Demonstrate positive safety behaviors in our Mission Zero journey
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Alberta Certified or Out of Province Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certified Journeyperson Millwright
- 3-5 years of Journeyperson experience (considered an asset)
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting abilities
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and positive mentorship
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
- Ability to provide shift coverage and SWAT (scheduled weekend coverage and call-ins) as required

- Employer-provided relocation assistance for anyone outside our local hiring area
