Produce Merchandiser

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between our Buying & Sales teams and our customers. Working closely with our customers, you will be responsible for merchandising Fresh Direct produce items, ensuring they are displayed and replenished to optimize attraction and sales. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be highly collaborative, and have a solutions-driven focus.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Following planograms, creating visually appealing displays of diverse Fresh Direct produce items.
  • Inspecting incoming produce delivery for freshness, quality, and proactively checking inventory levels and placing customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Analyzing sales data, trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the Produce department.
  • Assisting customers with questions, providing information about products, and offering recommendations.
  • Communicating and building relationships with customers and employees to ensure that we are exceeding the customer's expectations.

Qualifications include:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • A minimum of 1-year solid hands-on experience working with fresh produce is ideal.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to lift a maximum of 30lbs.
  • Effective business writing skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
