As a key member of our team at Fresh Direct Produce Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Sales Merchandiser to join our growing team in Victoria, BC.

This role is a strategic partnership between our Buying & Sales teams and our customers, where you will work closely with customers to merchandise Fresh Direct produce items, ensuring optimal display and replenishment to drive sales.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be highly collaborative, and have a solutions-driven focus. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating visually appealing displays of diverse Fresh Direct produce items, following planograms.
  • Inspecting incoming produce delivery for freshness, quality, and proactively checking inventory levels and placing customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Analyzing sales data, trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the Produce department.
  • Assisting customers with questions, providing information about products, and offering recommendations.
  • Communicating and building relationships with customers and employees to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements include:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • A minimum of 1-year solid hands-on experience working with fresh produce.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to lift a maximum of 30lbs.
  • Effective business writing skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
