Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and assisting radiologists and other physicians in the performance of CT scans, as well as assisting with orientation of registered technologists and participating in the student teaching program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and assist in the performance of CT scans, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.
  • Assist with the orientation of new registered technologists, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in the student teaching program, mentoring and educating students in the field of medical imaging.
  • Perform assigned area functions, including maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience in radiology, with a preference for CT experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of medical imaging technology.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists certification exam (CAMRT).
  • Ability to start and establish IVs, or commit to acquiring this skill through on-the-job training and formal courses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CT experience, with a strong understanding of CT procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently, with a high level of autonomy and initiative.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of patient contact and interaction. The position requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, as well as the use of safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
