Job Title: Professor, Office Administration

We are seeking a qualified Professor, Office Administration to teach part-time in our Office Administration program at our Fennell Campus in-person.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Medical Transcription techniques, Medical grammar and spelling, Webpage Design: HTML and CSS coding, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Express Scribe, and Typist App, Clinic Information EMR software, Plug and Play scanner, and Canvas LMS.
  • Develop and deliver course materials, including lesson plans, syllabi, and assessments.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements:
  • Relevant educational qualifications in Office Administration, Health Services, or a closely related field (Diploma).
  • Minimum five years of professional and relevant experience in the Medical Secretary/Support industry.
  • Prior post-secondary teaching experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Transcription techniques, Medical grammar and spelling, Webpage Design: HTML and CSS coding, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Express Scribe, and Typist App, Clinic Information EMR software, Plug and Play scanner, and Canvas LMS.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills and a commitment to diversity and equity are essential.
  • Ability to work in an environment where a diversity of people and situations are encountered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience using technology (LMS, online teaching, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and computer issues.
  • Candidates must also be committed to working within a team environment and to participating in a consultative decision-making process.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) with the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of students, employees, and the community.
