About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Tandel Group Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Security and Safety: Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our employees and visitors.
  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
