Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Residence Inn Gravenhurst Muskoka Wharf. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in leading the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies.
  • Verify the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives to meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Build relationships with key customers and be involved in the sales process.
  • Manage the operational and financial management of the property, including finance and accounting functions.
  • Support the management and development of departmental teams, including scheduling, coaching, and counseling.
  • Manage the guest experience, including providing excellent customer service and taking proactive approaches to dealing with guest concerns.
  • Conduct human resource activities, including verifying orientations for new team members and taking proactive approaches to dealing with employee concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
  • Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
