The Opportunity

At InnVest Hotels, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Gravenhurst. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front office and breakfast departments, while supporting the General Manager in the overall management of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and training of front office and breakfast staff
  • Implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures
  • Ensuring 100% guest satisfaction and revenue management goals
  • Development and execution of financial goals and budgets
  • Hiring, training, and coaching of staff to create a productive and efficient team
  • Overseeing and participating in day-to-day operations and sales activities
  • Representing the management team to hotel guests, employees, and members of the community
  • Maintenance of hotel facilities and ensuring employee and guest safety
  • Increasing market share by developing and executing plans to improve the hotel's position in the local market
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff, and owners in a professional manner
  • Experience in supervising personnel, recruitment, training, and motivation
  • Background in developing and executing business, marketing, and sales plans and operating budgets
  • Proficient in computerized systems
  • Ability to work within deadlines and manage multi-tasked assignments
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and hotel operations
