About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the Director, Canada Privacy position. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of our Canada privacy program.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining program documents, processes, and workflows to support the ongoing adoption of the Canada privacy program across Canada Markets. You will also be responsible for leading the management of privacy issues as they arise, working with Privacy Legal Counsel and Business Unit Chief Compliance Officers as appropriate.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining program documents, processes, and workflows to support the ongoing adoption of the Canada privacy program.
  • Leading the management of privacy issues as they arise, including working with Privacy Legal Counsel and Business Unit Chief Compliance Officers as appropriate.
  • Providing guidance and oversight on Privacy Risk Management to help ensure compliance with privacy regulatory requirements and Company policies.
  • Developing and managing a Canada monitoring program for privacy compliance control effectiveness.
  • Managing privacy-related investigations and conducting mandatory internal and external reporting of escalated privacy incidents.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Privacy Officer, Canada and/or Privacy Legal Counsel on high-risk, contentious, litigious privacy issues, complaints, and requests.
  • Driving consistent and efficient approaches to common privacy activities by working with Business Unit Compliance and other Line 2 functions.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years progressive experience in risk management, compliance, or legal roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in law, social sciences, business, IT, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing and oral communication skills.
  • Strong and proven program management capabilities and experience.
  • Competent people leader with experience in building high-performance teams.
  • Proven interpersonal skills: collaboration and communications skills (oral, written, presentation), ability to build relationships, engage, and influence others.
