Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Closing the Gap Healthcare. This is a part-time/casual opportunity based in the GTA region.

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive wound assessments for clients in their homes and at our ambulatory clinics.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to establish and update plans of care incorporating evidence-based practices.
  • Provide consultation and clinical support to healthcare teams, including recommendations for specialty products.
  • Offer educational support to clients, families, and healthcare teams regarding wound healing and skin health.
  • Adhere to provincial regulatory body standards and practice guidelines, delivering safe, competent, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Completed 75% of the NSWOC certificate and has 3 years of experience in a setting focused on wound care.
  • Successfully completed the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the community or acute care setting with a focus on wound care is preferred.
  • You are highly organized and excel at managing your schedule.
  • Currently certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C).
  • Can possess current Mask Fit test.
