Director, Indigenous Student Success

The University of Saskatchewan is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment for Indigenous students. We are seeking a Director, Indigenous Student Success to lead our efforts in this area.

The Director, Indigenous Student Success will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to support the success of Indigenous students at the University of Saskatchewan. This will include working with various stakeholders to identify and address the unique needs of Indigenous students, as well as developing and implementing programs and services to support their academic and personal success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories, as well as experience working with Indigenous students and communities. They will also have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to support the success of Indigenous students
  • Work with various stakeholders to identify and address the unique needs of Indigenous students
  • Develop and implement programs and services to support the academic and personal success of Indigenous students
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Indigenous Student Success team
  • Collaborate with other units and departments to ensure a seamless and holistic approach to Indigenous student support

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience working with Indigenous students and communities
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
