An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist - Nuclear Medicine to join our team at Island Health. This role plays a vital part in providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients.
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work in our acute hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various Diagnostic/Therapeutic radioisotope procedures and maintaining effective work relationships with colleagues and patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging services, including CT education courses and equivalent in-house education
- Maintain high standards of image quality and patient care
- Operate related equipment, including computerized systems and software applications
- Coordinate and prioritize work effectively
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RTNM)
- Graduation from an approved nuclear medicine technology diploma program
- Eligible for membership in the CAMRT
- One year recent, related nuclear medicine experience in an acute hospital setting
- Experience in all types of Diagnostic/Therapeutic radioisotope procedures
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in all nuclear medicine routines
- Ability to function efficiently under varying circumstances
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Island Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
