Behavioral Health Program Coordinator

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Challenging Behavior Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the capacity of continuing care providers to provide care to older persons with complex cognitive and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and support the implementation of the Behavioral Health Program with the continuing care sector.
- Provide guidance and advice to promote the coordination and integration of services.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and para-professionals to develop and deliver education programs.
- Assess and manage mental illness and dementias, utilizing effective practice modalities.
- Travel to other sites throughout the Central Zone, requiring a valid Nova Scotia driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in a regulated healthcare profession, with a minimum of 5 years' experience within the profession. You should be a member in good standing with a college or regulatory governing body in Nova Scotia. Additionally, you should have a minimum of two years' clinical experience working with clients with responsive behavior in the Continuing Care sector, geriatrics, mental health, and/or ABI populations.
Hours and Compensation- Full-time, long assignment; 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Competitive hourly rate: $36.45 - $44.31.
