Position Overview:
The SRE Cloud Network Architect/Designer is accountable for the design and implementation standards of multi-cloud networks for NCR Digital First Banking's Cloud SaaS solutions.

This role necessitates a profound understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform, as well as network automation utilizing Terraform. Knowledge of cloud networking design patterns, including B2B, hybrid cloud, network security, and best practices in network design is essential.

Success in this position requires experience in managing applications/services in the cloud along with associated processes and automation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Software Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Architecture, and SRE Observability Architects to ensure effective teamwork.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of cloud network and security technologies, alongside a background in ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Monitoring).
- Exhibit knowledge of key processes and tools related to network automation and production support technologies.
- Ensure a "Cloud Ready" approach is adopted for service availability, reliability, and performance.
- Define and oversee configuration management network and security standards and governance.
- Manage network capacity for cloud environments to guarantee optimal service availability and performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including incident reviews and change implementation reviews.

This role works closely with NCR's Global SRE team within the Chief Technology Office, guiding the overall SRE strategy and direction for NCR.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Approximately 10+ years of enterprise-level network architecture and design experience.
- Around 5+ years of experience in cloud networking design and implementation.
- At least 2+ years of experience in software development (DevOps and network automation).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and knowledge of tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and observability tools is desirable.
