Job Title: Technical Installer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Installer to join our team at the International Federation of Accountants. As a Technical Installer, you will play a critical role in delivering our global mission to strengthen public financial management and sustainable development globally.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of public sector financial and sustainability reporting standards, as well as inspiring adoption and implementation of these standards. You will work closely with the volunteer board to lead in developing standard-setting solutions to complex and emerging public sector issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain public sector financial and sustainability reporting standards
  • Inspire adoption and implementation of these standards
  • Engage with stakeholders such as governments, regulators, standard setters, accountancy firms, governance groups, and professional accountancy organizations around the world
  • Serve as a key contact for one or more of the Board's liaison and outreach activities with key stakeholder groups
  • Have direct experience in standard-setting or public sector accounting/financial management/sustainable development experience
Requirements
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
  • Knowledge of issues relating to technical accounting and/or sustainability reporting
  • Excellent technical and project management skills and strong computer literacy
  • Experience leading complex projects, including managing and collaborating with others to meet project goals and deadlines
  • At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or other relevant field
  • 5 years of directly related work experience and 10+ years of professional experience
